Started in 1979, Nissei developed the first Double Disc Grinder to grind brittle ceramics with diamond grinding wheels.  The unique box frame design with no spindle overhang has the rigidity to counteract the high grinding forces inherent in the DDG process.  This benefits all applications using superabrasive or conventional abrasive wheels, requiring high throughput and 24/7 operation.  New development and testing are on-going, including specific models for brake discs, cutting tool inserts, rare earth magnets, and other non and ferrous materials.  The majority of our machines are automated, the method depending on customer requirements.
